How long is a sling hire for?
As long as you need!
If I reserve online, when do I pick it up?
After reserving, message us to arrange a pick-up time.
Pick-up options:
Easterhouse studio (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM)
Drop by when we’re open (contact us for availability).
Can you post a hire to me?
If you cant get to us or you're not local, we can post for an additional £5. Please note that we only post out twice a week, Mondays and Fridays ( Local holidays permitting).
How do I know if the sling is fitted correctly?
Safety is our top priority, along with your comfort. If you're unsure, feel free to attend a sling meet or book a consultation. If you've hired from us, you can send us photos via email for review, or take advantage of a free online fit check included with your hire.

£30 for 4 weeks (£30 posted)
If you hire a stretchy wrap or a close caboo you can have a further 8 weeks for free!
Do I need to wash the sling before I return it?
No, unless it’s mucky! If you do wash we ask that you use non-bio laundry detergent and make sure buckles are fastened. We recommend you pop them in a pillow case or wash bag too.
If I don’t get on with the sling, can I hire a different one?
Absolutely! Just return the current one and we can swap! If you swap during the hire period there is no extra charge (unless you want to extend). If you swap at the end of your hire period, the usual hire charges apply.
How many slings can I hire in one go?
You can hire up to three slings at a time, but if you need more, feel free to get in touch, we’re happy to help!
What type of sling will suit me best?
We have many carriers/slings in our library and what will suit one client will not suit another. We recommend you pop into a sling library session or book a session with us so we can give you tailored information to suit your own needs.
How do I renew my sling/carrier?
Just drop us a message or email admin@glasgowslinglibrary.co.uk and we can renew it for you!
How do I return my hire?
You can drop it off at our Easterhouse studio if we are open, or at our studio reception. Their opening hours are Monday-Friday, 9-5pm.
Alternatively, you can pop your sling in the post or drop it off at another sling meet around the city if that’s easier.

How do i hire a kit?
- Create a MyTurn account
- Once your account is confirmed, search for the kit you'd like in our inventory.
- Click "Reserve"
- Ensure you have a payment method linked to your account
How long is a kit hire for?
However long you’d like it for! It can take a while to get into a routine with cloth nappies so initially we suggest 4 weeks for a Birth to Potty kit and 6 weeks for a Newborn kit.
If I reserve online, when do I pick it up?
Message us once you’ve reserved to arrange your pick up time. You can pick up from our Easterhouse studio reception: Monday-Friday 9-5 or you can call into us when we are open.
Alternatively we can post for an additional charge of £7.
Do I need to wash/dry the kit before I return it?
Yes please.
We email you detailed instructions about how to use and care for the nappies when you reserve a kit.
Ideally, rinse the nappies initially and then do a full wash at 40-60 degrees.
We ask that you line dry rather than tumble dry - it helps extend the life of the nappies AND it’s better for the planet!

We offer a pay what you feel system for our hire kits with a suggested donation of:
Newborn kit - £20 for 6 weeks
Birth to potty kit - £20 for 4 weeks
Reusable wipes kit - £7 for 2 weeks, £10 for 4 weeks.
How do I use all the different types?
Detailed instructions of how to use each nappy style will be emailed to you when you reserve your kits.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions!
If I like the nappies can I buy the kit?
